auto question?

Post by Glennb »

can the auto trans on my 95 pajero be reset your self or does it need to be done by mitsu using a computer? Hoping if my oil change doesnt fix my sticking gear problem the reset of the auto will.
Also is the auto computer a "learning" computer. What I mean could have my computer learned to hold the gears longer because of my larger tyres and now I have my stock tyres back on it still thinks it needs to hold each gear longer.(hope that makes sense)
Cheers

Hey swbpajero
I don't anything about your particular auto but the learning auto in my ex Falcon always changed it's holding pattern within a few kilometers of me changing my driving style.

Afraid not Glenn, the V4AW2 has no learning capabilities. It was not until the Invec autos that had this feature....like in Tegs Challenger.

thanks guys, I get the feeling it needs a fluid and filter change. If that doesnt work time to get the auto re set and if that doesnt work, time to get rid of the car me thinks.
Cheers
