Just some buying advice.

Post by ZOOK92 »

I have a mate who is looking at getting a Defender as a knockaround. It is in the dealership near his work, and is $9900. It has 205000 km's on it. what should he, or I (if i go to look to) really be on the lookout for. Just standard problems that we should see so we know to stay clear or take it. He says from a quick inspection that the Transfer has a small oil weep, but he said the doors appear to have rust in them too. It has lived in a beach environment, living its whole life on Sydneys Northern Beaches.

Thank you for any input that is given. I am going with some Toyota knowledge, but I am sure there are some Defender specific problems.
