Lewis wrote:as some may know i won an award on the weekend which was the Aaron Dent memorial trophy presented by marks 4wd adapters. At the time i was a bit overwhelmed by it and didnt say any words which i would have liked to, so saying it here was the best i can probably do. I will start by saying how much of an honour it is to win this trophy and even though i didnt have the privilage of knowing Aaron my condolences go out to his family and all who knew him. I should also thank all the people who helped me on the weekend you wouldnt find more generous people anywhere in the world than at these places. Im sure there were many people that deserved this award its just great to see how many people willing to help each other. Thanks.
RIP.
az, bobby and amy
Whats this award for and who are those people?
i have no idea what the award was for
but aaron, bobby and amy all died in a car crashes a few months ago. all three were between 19 and 20 and great people, local to me they all went to my school.
Aaron worked at Marks 4wd adapotrs and did the vic winch last year with Ant Kilner, great character and a good 4x4er always keen to help out and have a good time... been out wheeling with him a few times and was willing to have a crack at anything!!
had a nice SWB patrol to.
RIP.
Ah yeah now that adam has said that i remeber talkin to you at nerim the morning after! I remember now what a tragic loss of life! Would be a great honour to win the award then!

Lewis,
Thanks for your words on this website, I am Daniel, Aarons eldest brother.
I actually presented you with the Aaron Dent memorial trophy, this trophy was put together by Marks 4wd Adaptors in honour of Aaron as he was one of their valued and missed staff members. This was their way of hnouring his life as he loved his 4wd and the driving that went with it.
He was a great young bloke who was living life and enjoying himself, before it was cut short along with his girlfriend Amy, and good mate Bobby.
Mate don't feel bad in regards to not saying anything, it can be a difficult thing to know what to say in these sorts of situations. I wanted to be able to say a few words on the day myself, but struggled to and didn't say anything, just handed you the trophy and said well done.
I had a great day but just found it very tough as it was the day before Aaron's 20th birthday and was only 1 month and a half since the accident, and also found it hard that Aaron was not there like he was last year, as a navi for Ant Kilner, he was hoping to participate in Vic Winch 07. So it was a tough day for the family, but a good day as our other brother Clinton and his good mate Trav participated for the first time and that was another great tribute to Aaron from all of us!!!
Goodie,
None of our family can figure out who you are, not to say you didn'y know Aaron, as we have found out since the tragic accident, he actually had contact with a hell of a lot of people that we would have had know idea. But thanks for your kind words also, and its great to see another person fortunate enough to have spent some time with him while he was with us, keep wheelin mate, but take it easy and take care!!
R.I.P Aaron, Amy & Bobby!!!!!
