No but is that cheap ?

I thought it was an ok price but is it worth the hassle getting it freighted ?

I have heard fiction stories of others gettin these prices, but when I got mine, called all teh places recommended in threads here, plus dozen others, none were anywhere near this price, or the ones quoted in the threads..

Agree with the is it worth the freighting, if it was wrong or out of line/wrong bend, it would be a PITA to sort out.

it is only from bottom of the fire wall back, you would still need the 3" dump pipe off the turbo n 3" pipe from dump to floor pan.
Buy now price is $650 + $110 for dump to floor pan + $200-$300 for turbo dump pipe, Thats $960-$1060 + freight n fitting.
Why not just buy the beaudesert exhaust kit $800 + freight, comes complete n minimal tools needed. no welding required n easy to fit at home.

buy now is $450 not $650.

and beaudesert isnt $800, they are $1100 or were ~12mths ago, and when we tried to get a discount for multiples, they laughed.

called Beaudesert 6 month ago 3" complete was $800, with out dump was $675, $125 for freight. I have fitted a few of these, from memory $1100 was fitted.

I dont know who you spoke to but thats not what we got quoted, on 3 different calls over a time got the same quotes. Was that including freight to vic?

There are 3 exhausts listed here, even with the cheaper price I wouldnt go through the hassel at that price.

go Beaudesert. I have seent he jigs they use to make them up and they all come off them so no worries about wrong bends, get the dump also. i reckon for about a grand it's the best moneh spent for performance, note and general bling factor :D

Um ... try $645 WITH dump +$40 ship to Melb plus fitting (which most could do themselves as it's bolt on)

Where do you get there is a piece missing between dump and floor/firewall? ... the ad reads "MANDREL BENT SPORTS EXHAUST WITH BOLTS AND GASKETS NEEDED FOR EASY FITMENT". Doesn't sound like there is a piece missing to me?!?!

its a good buy then, so when you buy it let me know how it fitted.
If you ever get a 3" from DTS it also says complete exhaust, but there is no dump or engine pipe or flex joint for the same price.
Give the dude a call n ask would be my sugestion, also ask if the 2 lowwer studs have to be shortened on the turbo to fit the dump, that would mean not a staight bolt on item as the turbo needs a mod.

I have seen these before but at this stage have no intention of buying one (for other reasons).

But I assure you, he would get a phone call or e-mail before I was to make such a purchase, and anyone who didn't and based their purchase solely on forum discussion would potentially be in for a world of hurt. ;)

If you've got access/own a mig, you could always make one yourself....

Mandrel bent sections are about $10 each, 3M length of exhaust $100, flex joint $75, a few joining plates $15.

I've made my own exhaust on the last four cars i've owned (3x 4wds). I've don a 2.5" on an SD33T wagon, 3" on an SD33T ute, 2" on a Sierra soft-top, 2.5" on my turbo Datto 180B. Its a bit fiddly, but you can get an awesome exhaust done pretty cheap if you have the time/patience. The only reason i actually started making my own exhausts was because i couldn't get a local workshop to actually do/make what i asked for. You know what they say, if you want it done properly......

Be aware the dump pipe off the turbo needs to be cast or it will crack in time. I have replaced a number of cracked ones with cast DTS units from MTQ, the heavy cast material is more heat resistant.

Cheers

You should be able to buy a cast dump section from a good exhaust or diesel shop shouldn't you?? Then it'd just be a case of getting a joiner plate that mates up to the dump section, then bobs' your aunty!
