I had a set of swift sierra extractors modified with a GTi flange (already had the header but not the flange) and a full 2 inch system with high flow cat and straight through muffler for $500.

2 inch high flow cats aren't bugger all more cost than standard ones, any bigger than that and they start getting bloody pricey. It's weird and I don't know why but my twin 2 1/2" high flow cats on my commodore cost me $600 when they 2" on my zook cost under 200 easy.

just got off the phone to a nother exhaust shop. 575 fitted for extractors and 2inch all the way. he said they dont make a high flow cat in 2inch and he said it not worth paying the extra for a 2.1/4
now i got one last question at the end should i keep it bending to the left or just go straight out?

Sorry to hijack your thread, but i wanted to ask the same question.

why does the stock exhaust bend off to the left infront of the mudflap? i was thinking of cutting it back because it looks a bit strange..

its to help prevent fumes getting in the rear. i was going to get it stright but its going ot have a bent. best to have a bend and if you dont like it chop it if u keep getting high then weld it back on :D

ok ive decided im going to lower the body lift on it.

ive work out that the front passangerside guard will need to be cut a bit, old mounts cuts off, fuel pump moved, bull bar needs a little notich to be cut off. ive also read that a 1.6 wont fit without a body lift so to fix that problem im going to keep a little body lift on a total of 1.5inch from the chassie to the body the body lift blocks im going to use are some 20mm solide squares and going to raise the bonet a bit if it still going to hit. i will also be turning the fornt shocks upside down as somone said.

ive got a few questions thow. im going to replace the rubbers as well. so just any high compression rubber will do? and ive noticed some of the mounts dont have bolts so how do i attach it to the chassie?

thanks

If you are going to all that trouble and are worried about the engine clearing (mine has a finger space between top of the ramflo on the weber and the bonnet) a guy that use to be in our club did a 20mm b/l rearanged the mount rubbers top for bottom not sure and a small spacer. Otherwise you cant really have a b/l at 1 end and not the other.
Im also looking at a set of dodge 318 engine mounts to drop mine a bit more.
Just some thoughts.

no no. it will be body lift all over. the bonnet will be spaced up a bit using bigger rubbers. im not worryed about the engine clearing as i can overcome that

Must have read it wrong I thought you said you were putting a 1 1/2" b/l in the front and taking the rest out!

though i will let you guy know what happned.
just fited a 2inch body lift in yesterday. because it has a 1.6 efi i needed the clearance to clear the engine from the bonnet. even with the 2inch lift it just closes. somthings hitting but i dont know what yet.
as far as mods to do it.

as you rear got the exhaust done a while ago. fuel pump cleared it. Guards met the hammer to clear the shock towers. the other mounts that where welded on where easy to get off. used the grinder on what i could and the rest i manages to knock of with the hammer while the body was jacked up.
and yes i turned my shocks the right way up today.

now looking at doing front chassie extention in order to make it more stable. anyone herd of RUF with SPAO?

thanks

Good to hear the progress! I have ruf with spoa on mine as do alot of others. Mine wasnt an actual chassis extension just moved the front mount out about 50mm with angled flat bar. It sounds alot more booty fab than it is the only prob Ive got with it is it raised the front an inch a chassis extension wouldnt lift it.

not a good idea to have two accounts why have you changed your account? Best bet is to contact RUFF and get him to sort it out or you will be banned from the site
