turbo probs 2.8 lux
hey all just installed a turbo of a 2lte surf on my 91 2.8d hilux umm drove it currentley pulling 6 pound but the oil pressure is way high it dont move we had to rotate the turbo so it could fit and had to re weld the waste gate controller so it would work could this be it or is there something else in the game any suggestions would be great thanks.
one of our CFS trucks has oil pressure off the scale on the gauge.
its because its got a broken ring and every time that cylinder fires, it pressurises the crankcase.
Could also be an oil seal on the compressor side of the turbo being stuffed, and your oil gallery is being pressurised.
Looked at a 2.8TD Jackaroo with that problem- EVERY single oil seak and gasket was weeping from it.
