There aren't any decent ones i have seen.
Most of the ricer ones are on too much of an angle as there A pillars lean back at a greater angle.
I have seen some make there own and fibreglassed over them and have come out neat.

Otherwise maybe a dash mounted center console of make up a roof console with guages in it.

My console. not bad and doesn't obstruct your view.

What about the autron ones that are supposed to be universal?? Any experience with these..

Are there any other universal ones people have used in GQ's??

I like the dash pod but would prefer up out of the way..

Plus I have a cool dash mat

It was the Autron one that I tried. Poor quality and didn't suit the pillar at all.

The pod was in when I bought the vehicle. I'm going to redo the fascia to fit another gauge in it and use more of the space.
I was thinking of getting some pods made out of fibreglass but haven't gotton around to it.

Pretty pricey arn't they

Might keep looking for suitable pillar pods that I can mount.. As I said I think I like the pillar pod idea better anyway..

Would just like to know if anyone has successfully done this and where they got them from??

arent most 4wd accessories? Pillar Pods are $150ish

You also have to make the front for the pod for the gauges, you dont buy them like that.
they come up on Ebay all the time.

I have both types for the GU, and mate has this one
http://www.hotfrog.com.au/Uploads/Press ... _image.jpg
I have the other one.

Both have + and -/
The image above, you cant see the top 1/2 of the lower gauge! but they are sort of facing you.. the top gauge 1inch higher would rock.

THe other style, the gauges arent really totally facing you, which sux anus but is a better pod, which I'll keep in the truck.

My pod is the same ...Department of the Interior in NSW...retail about $285 new . http://www.consoles.com/Ford_Maverick_pods.htm

I bought two second hand units from them that had been traded in...for $60.00 each a few years ago because I had no idea which one would suit my radio. Put the other on ebay and sold it for $150.

Had my Uniden UHF in it but now the new dvd am/fm gps thingy is in it ( 1 x din) and it is at your fingertips.
