I am finding that my auto on my 95 pajy is holding 2nd gear longer than it should. It seems to like 3-3.2k of reves and will drop down when it hits 60 ks or if Im doing 50kph I have to release my foot fully off the accelerator to kick it up to 3rd gear otherwise it will just hold 2nd unless Im going down a hill. The kick down cable it fully extended out so it should kick up the gears asap but it doesnt.
It also does it with both sets of tyres my 32s and 30s.
Any idea what the problem may be?
cheers
Glenn

... except I got sacked last Friday 4/1/08 so you'll have to wait for that info. Somebody did mention something about kickdown cables though?haipe wrote:I have the same issue in my '94 lwb NJ with 3.0 ltr V6 going from 2nd to top and then into overdrive. I'm getting it serviced this Friday 4/1/08. I'll let you know
I had the same problem, it was the kickdown cable and when adjusted there was no more adjustment left.
SO if I ever have the problem again I will have to look at getting a new cable (has not stretched) I don't like my chances of aftermarket though, and I'm sure Mitsubishi won't miss me with there price.
I hope to never be in this situation, but it sounds like a starting point for you as you have reached the end of adjustment.
