50mm 'seatbelt' webbing - how to adjust?

Post by ash_on_mtb »

I've knocked up a bit of a mesh barrier, I've got the fixing for the top all in, but I'm in need of some help for the bottom of it. There needs to be a bit of adjustment in it, so I need to find something like a lap strap seatbelt - the part that you pull to tighten but without the buckle -

In effect, I need something like a buckle on the shoulder strap of a backpack that you pull to tighten, but for 50mm strap. Anyone know if anything that would work??

Two "D" rings stitched into the webbing?? or make your own "squared up" D rings from 3mm aluminium.

Bunnings sell what your are looking for, I just got some to hold the kids DVDs in the car. They sell 25mm and 50mm from memory

perfect, thanks. You wouldn't recall what section you found them in, as I've had a look around and couldn't see them , but I was probably looking in the gardening section or something. And lets face it, the staff aren't likely to know/care... But its CHEEP, like the budgie eh...
