Need Help on Measurements...

Post by Meldge »

Hi peoples,

My car is at a Panel Shop and I need to know the bolt diameter for the bolts that hold the body to the chassis. Or the size of the hole I should drill out of the UHMW-PE blocks.

Also if anyone has done a 2" body lift on a MWB Cruiser, what length do I need to buy the bolts at.

If I had one the car here it would be fine, but my bro is drilling out the centre of the UHMW-PE blocks that I bought, ended up getting 1m of it for $69...

Just need nuts and bolts now...

Any help would be great.

Regards,

Meldge

Not sure but you may have trouble getting bolts to fit rad support panel. I'm pretty sure the rest of the bolts were 1/2 in x 5 in or 12mm x 125mm. If you use the metric bolts i think they'll go threw standard body washs.

I'm doing mine tomorrow!!!! I could have sold you my left over UHMW PE 50cm x 55mm and 50cm x 75mm for less than you paid (I did offer it to you last week and you knocked it back for aluminium!!!!)

I'll give you details on bolts and holes drilled etc in the next couple of days when I can get back on.

Pics will be up early next week on the whole thing

Thats cool mc dave, thanks for the offer... Can't wait to see the pics...

If you are doing yours though, how are you selling them at the same time, what did you change...

We are just making them up ourselves now, i think i might just tell me bro, to put 12mm holes down the centre of the blocks...

Tell you what I cant wait to get some pics of my car, cause that means i will have it back...

I am actually in sydney this week, flew down so no car, bummer :x !!!

Thanks guys, if you think the 12mm hole is really no good, get back onto me straight away, thanks...
