IMHO body swaps just ruin two cars to end up with one car that wasn't as good as a sierra in the first place.
They're also hell to get legal.
Most body swaps on sierra chassis mount the body way too high so it looks like it's got a massive BL in it. Small wheelarches designed for road tyres make things even worse - you end up with a really tall car with little tyres etc.
Whilst a "proper" 4X4 carry can would be cool, it wold involve moving the engine back a LONG way as carry vans put the motor almost totally behind the cab, and laid heavily over. Perhaps even a rear engine setup would be preferable to make it work right.
I've seen a few car bodies on zuk chassis, but I;m yet to see one that doesn't look like a freak.

I picked up some sierra diffs from a person out Penrith way recently who had a Torana body mounted on a Sierra chassis with a V6 Commodore engine. But... he had custom 2WD suspension/driveline and was putting in air bags (thus the Sierra chassis). He was an old Holden hotrodder from way back and had some very interesting ideas.... none of which are relevant to 4WD

Yeah... cool
Note how the stock chassis end is way below the stock front clip.... so fat that 150mm of alloy had to be added, and the shackle is all below that. I think this is a complementary photo too - if it was taken any lower you would get a sense of how far the chassis was hanging below the floor of the mighty boy.
This Is actually one of the better ones I have seen.... Imagine the work to get one looking this good!
