got it for $7500, was happy with that. had chips in paint, bullseyes, but others looked had rust in panels. it really going to get trashed anyway, paint wise. couldnt find any rust. diffs, transfer good, engine pulling power of a tractor, bit noisy but getting service local arb store monday. oh and under bonnet insulation. interior was good, just tear in drivers seat. couldn't find anything wrong with engine mounts, or exhaust. air con crap. air compressor conversion
came with workshop manual, cd player and 6 cd stacker, spare carpet throughout, spare rear doors cut down no glass, 2 spare radios, spare tyre (other than one on rear door), driving lights and fog lights. bullbar will be going to wreckers. nothing wrong with it, aluminium and want to swap for steel winch bar. think that is all.
oh yeah, the transfer case. hydraulic switching is way cool
spent some time sunday morning, put in first car seat point. put car seat in and took missus and billy lid for a drive. both love it!
has lucas fuel filter and water trap already, thats saved me some $$$. just need to get finer filter now.
Is there any way you can shoot pics of the rear seatbelt mounting points on the floor? For some reason the Japanese domestic market BJ74's don't have rear seatbelts.
Dave
Dave, haven't got digi camera yet but am working on that. my rear seat back folds forward (flat) then whole thing tilts forward again vertical against front seats. about doubles rear space. rear seatbelts on sides bolted to rollbar, middle seat belt and all clips are connected to seat frame, which locks onto two short steel bars on floor. er, hope you can understand, will try to cam soon.
Bluey: Is your middy a petrol or diesel?
stump pulling, ball tearing, 1/4 mile not to be considered, standard 3b diesel. shit, where's the go harder switch???
