200 Series 470

Hey, my mate has got a Lexus LX470, he got it last year (its 07 model)

The guy at the dealership told him that its got the new 200 series 470 in it.

We just looked at the plate and its got the 2uz-fe in it.

Im sure that I had this model in my 04 100 series.

Was the guy at the dealership pulling a swift one over his head or what?

Whats the model number of the V8 that comes in the 200 series?

its all sales pitch mate, new cars, new engine too!!

the 200 series also has a diesel or petrol V8 :lol:

the old one only had a V8 in the petrol.

The diesel is twin turbo :cool:

200series lexus petrol V8 is a 5.7 litre from memory and the Lexus's themselves are very very nice inside.

you are quoting the 200 series landcruiser, not the lexus LX570 thats coming out. Ive seen one in the flesh last year

I believe the LX is will be running a 5.7L V8

nah mate, sorry. it only passed through my workplace and was there for bout an hour before it moved on. enough to have a good look and start her up! very smooth engine may I say!

The V8 is still the 2UZ-FE, however it's now got VVTi (which is what the US spec 100 series or LX470 got back in 2004 or so.)

I'm pretty sure we didn't get the VVTi version here in the 470 either.
