WRX scoop on a GQ

Post by Goutman »

Just wondering if any one has pics of there install of a wrx bonnet scoop for their GQ. Recently bought one to cover up cracking paint on the bonnet. Just wondering how people have installed them because it seems theres no mounting tabs or screw holes etc. Any help or pics would be appreciated

so you are just sticking it on to cover bad paint, not actually cutting a hole in the bonnet for any sort of performance reason? If so double sided tape

That recessed strip on the center makes it look ordinary.
Dont expect mere proof to sway my opinion.

My old ute had one. Cut the bonnet to suit, screwed it down, minor bit of panel work, bog and paint to make it look like it was meant to be there.

wrx scoop

Post by MUNGA GQ »

I got a genuine wrx scoop to fit, to much rooting around to fit, they sit in a groove on the wrx bonnet.
the best way is to buy a "saas" brand stick on one from super cheap or repco about $40. and silicon it on .
like the red ute in the other picture.
