Hi gents,
Bought a new protector for the patrol, fitted the bastard only to have it fall out ten minutes later... Try as I might I can't tighten the screws into the plug hard enough to make it grip the matching hole in the underside of the bonnet any better than mediocre. Have tried silicon etc for a bit of extra grip but no joy
Short of drilling a couple of holes through the protector and into the bonnet for a couple of self tappers, anyone got a better idea?
Regards
Dan

@$*#$%&#$! Bonnet Protector
BONNET PROTECTOR
Hi Mate,
Try going to an Auto store, They should have a variety of differrent plugs and stuff that may be able to be utilises, If not, drill the holes ( neatly ) and put some rubber washers in between the bonnet, protector and flange on screw.. Have you tried araldite, I know its dodgy but it should hold the plug in the desired location as required.
