Tarmac tyre wear, how many kms u get?

Post by lolergram »

For the serious rig owner, this isn't even an issue! But for those in a similar boat to me, what do you think of your tyres?

a) What are they?
b) how many kms you get out of the set?
c) What do you think of them?
d) Strengths/Weaknesses
e) Price you paid/in what condition?

What do you think of JT2's for all rounders?
(Including on Tarmac)

Cheers

BFG AT's on a 2.3t rangerover.
Done 70,000km at 40psi, still wear the corners more than the centre. Must be all those damn corners.

Killed one of them the other weekend (run flat, got soo hot I couldn't hold onto it) so have replaced the most worn two with second hand michelins.
Expecting another 20,000-30,000km to wear out the remaining two BFG's.

Good sand/road/gravel tyre. Not a mud/clay option. Hard ride (LT casing) is the only downside for me.
