is this possible into a mq? will ti bolt straight in? or would i be able to remove the head and injection stuff to use on my L28?

The sump........


Major drama.......


its back the front ......


Cant be converted easilly because the oil galley for the oil pump is drilled too short .........

meaning.... the oil pump & pickup is in the wrong spot and cant be shifted easilly.







It can be done, by making a new pickup for the oil pump. Sadly the main oil gallery just isnt drilled far enough as there is a 2nd mounting position for the oil pump cast into the block so it would be a straight forward conversion if that gallery was drilled out.

I've drilled out a couple but its not as easy as it sounds, the drill bit needs to be 550mm long !, & if it breaks during the drilling .......

you'll need a Plan 'B'

Plan 'B' = shifting the front diff as far away from the sump as posiable

ok thanks guys, i have been talking to the boys on ozdat and they reckon the heads from any L6 are interchangable..., so how hard do ya reckon it would be to wire up a fuel injection system.... engine comes with the loom and computer....

when i bought my mk it had an L24 in it... never drove with that motor tho because it had a bad clunk when i was looking at it... but it was definatly stamped L24....
