Want a tyre change
Want a tyre change
Hello there,
I want to go bigger tyre's how is the ride though with something like a 35 or would it be safer to go 33's my misses occasionally drives the car (only when i'm too pissed to) i have a 2inch suspension lift already. I was reading the other threads and also did search for this but cant find out what sort of ride people are getting. I have standard 31/10.5's at the moment and it drives good. As this is my daily and weekend warrior i just cant decide on what way to go.
Any comments or flames would be nice!

Don't really want to go to much higher cause like i said the misses has to drive when I'm pissed and if its to much of a boat she wont be happy.

have a look at the pic, you can see that theres less than an inch between the body and the ground. When you go bigger tires, you will try more things, harder things. So either do it right once, or work your way up to it.MPRZIV wrote:yeah i know you are right with that but at least i can follow them part of the way there with 35's surely 35's would ride better than 37's? i am new so expect to get flamed alot i'm a big boy i can take it just what else do i need for 35's in a thread a few down from mine a guy reckons he put 35's on with only a 2 inch lift is this correct or bulls!!t?
there are threads on how to fit 35's on GQ's, plenty of them, but you have been told most of it. I'd say he hit heaps of guard with grinder to fit those tires.
thanks for the info bogged you said move control arms and other stuff whats the other stuff i would have to do???? how much more of a lift would i need for the 35's or can you do your cut and paste magic and show me somewhere i can find out the whole lot to fit the 35's plus other parts. Hey what rims would i need?

Urr ... there is plenty of info in there about how to fit bigger tyres.MPRZIV wrote:what one specifically relates to me?
Do you think your time would be well spent reading peoples experiences and picking up some extra info along the way?
Or would you like me to spend my night searching for you ... ?
KRiS
to fit 35's and not look retarded and also to clear guards min. 2 inch sus and 2 inch body lift
for 35's like m117, simex , boggers etc you will have to chop guards
35 bfg's, coopers etc you dont have to chop guards you may have a very small amount of rubbing but nothing to worry about
if your in melb south east i can fit 2 inch body lift for couple of hundred or so
if you get 35's look at fitting 4.6's gears
or just put up with the snail trail down the road

He he. Do yourself a favour MPRZIV and set aside a few hours tonight to sit down and READ throught the Nissan section, and use the SEARCH function to have a look what everyone else does. There is so much crap on here about fitting 35's to GQ wagons that its just not funny. Do what I (and every other person) did when they were new - READ UP.RoldIT wrote:Or would you like me to spend my night searching for you ... ?
You might be able to take the flaming, but once you start p!ssing people off asking silly questions, they'll just ignore you.
Cheers - Coxy
PS. Just go 33's, nice "ride", doesn't suck too much power, and your missus will reckon it looks porno too!!
