Will a winch bar off an mq fit ok on a gq, if not will there be much stuffing around

MQ bar onto a GQ
no wont fit. There is 10mm or so difference in width between the chassis rails on MQ/MKs and GQs.
You need to either cut the bullbar mounts off and re weld them on the bar to the new spacing or oxy heat and bend them IF they are just plate type mounts..... usually winch bars slide inside the chassis with fully enclosed box section mounts so you would have to cut and weld them.
