Yep, that's me (closest to camera) and Shane filming from the bottom and Mal was up the top so there are plenty of angles of that one!!!

Yep is was bloody hot. I drank about 6L of water and didn't do a piss until about 6 that night!!! If I didn't drink that much I would have been in a lot of trouble.

Mooney from The Rush club almost passed out on Stage 3 from over-exherting himself. He was spotting for the orange zook.

Sorry gadget but this is incorrect. Cookie did not have the cable connected whilst on the main part of stage two hill, where he did the wheelstand. He had the winch on right at the top. I've got 13 pics of him on that hill and non of them have the cable pulled out.

Can someone clear this up?? It would be a bit hypocritical if he was disqualified for using too much throttle when the commentator was telling people to cheer on some trucks (cheezy et al) so they WOULD use heaps of throttle?

Did anyone else see the big line of trucks pull in at about 7am with the orange suzuki tray back in the lead? I was watching from the campgrounds, and as that suzuki slowed down for the turn into the event's driveway, he got the worst castor slap/death shimmy I have ever seen.. It was physically lifting the tyres off the ground ROFL! :D

I caught it on film and rewatched it after the event.

There was no winch line out at the time that he pulled the wheelie.

He made it all the way to the top under his own steam (and made a LOT of dust in the process!!!)

I understood that he was disqualified for too many unsafe actions i.e getting out of his truck a number of times in an unsafe manner and also assisting his team-mate down sphincter rock by pulling on a strap without gloves. I was only a few metres away from him when he was doing this and saw it all.

Gadget was there as well and was a course official. He would have the official reason for the disqualification.

It would have been good to watch him go down the rock... my bet is that he would have been over on his lid BIGTIME!!!

nah, i don't think so.. the only trucks that came close to, or did, go over were the ones that tried to creep down real slow. I don't think he has that type of personality!

I did OK

1st section was cool. No hassles. Wombat holes were a good test of flex and wheel placement.

2nd section had some real pucker sections. The drop offs were wicked  I think I lost my seat cover on that one

3rd section was OK until I got to CV Rock. I had 3 attempts at it because I had no winch and was denied

I think I got to the 230 point marker

It was a top day and a well run event :D

I think his drive would have been similar to Sam (Shorty GQ) from All-Coast only a little more spectacular...

2 questions about buggies

1 how did sam (overkill) go with 44"s and a 1.3

2 what and who owns that zook buggie thingo on boggers. i think overkill might be able to anwer both of these as the black bogger buggie had an over kill sticker.

Sam did well on the sections that they let him drive.

If you are talking about the black buggy then that is probably Gonads truck. Has some pretty big boggers on it. Didn't seem like it was loaded with power but had enough to crawl anywhere.

Did anyone else see the tilt tray early Sun morn hit the give way sign coming out of the dirt track. The organisers where having a huge go at some clown at the end arcing the rear of the White Falc ute, pitty they didn't see the tilt tray goose doing mark 3 down the dirt track.

Then after the event on the way up the hill heading towards Windsor, there was a black (Bommodore) ute all bent in the trees, with a tarp over the cab. Don't remember seeing it on the way in.

Hot or What.... Had to bail out for a swim during the day, magine if the storm that hit eastern creek had of hit woodpecker, may have had cheezy doing some road rage like skaife..... :)

1. sam only runs 42's the engine seemed to push them ok

2. mickbj42's buissnes (Sp?) partner owns the black zook on the 44 boggers

Yea Thunder that was the shorty that nearly went, he was lucky not to go over. looked like he hit something that stopped him going over from where we were, on the wrong side to see.

I think everyone else has just about sumed up this event so i dont have much to add.

It was different to any of the events we have up here and the only thing i see being a prob is the knock the bunnting over your out rule. I know it gets the event going faster but it doesnt make it better. I think a big penalty for doing this would be better.Oh and there were a few times the spectators were a little TOO close to the action(eg-when the tree fell on some spectators  )

I met a lot of guys from both Sydney,Melbourne and even some guys from Brisbane including Daniel from my own Club(logan). It was great to meet you all. Damn Avgas i now see why you want to shoot that darn MOOSE :D Sorry to the guys that i did meet but didnt spend much time with or seamed like i was a bit of an ass. There was just so much going on and i realy wanted to see as much of this event as possible.

Big thanks to Ben and Sarah and Bens parents for looking after me and Nick for the weekend.

Ok i have a heap of pics but nothing to go with them. You guys from Sydney know who these guys are so you should be able to help out with any questions.
