whats the diffrance between the et and the silverstone what do u think is better

I have used both 35x10.5 Silverstones and 35x11.5 Simex for general 4wd and competitions.
The Silverstone is a far more aggressive tyre and is extremely good in hard wet clay. Unbeatable I would say! It is very good on low powered vehicles. In soft conitions they dig holes, Big holes!!!!! So less power is good here.
The Simex is a better all purpose mud tyre. Not as good as the Silverstone in clay but better everywhere else. If you have the power, the Simex is the best oot of the 2 as it doesn't dig as fast. A heavier truck also suits Simex.
So it comes back to what size vehicle, what size tyre, how much power, where you drive, how you drive etc. As per normal each has it's good and bad point so you need to compare what you need with what the tyre offers.
Also the 35 Silverstone is only 34.5"

I know there are alot of contributing factors but how many kilometres are most of you guys getting out of a tyre this aggresive?

Would I expect 20,000 out of them or less under a zook? I thought the sidewalls were abit stiff and would not reccomend them under a zook unless you have beadlocks and are happy to run at 6psi or less.
Althought in saying that I never really got much use out of them and maybe the sidewall would loosen up over time and be fine.
I would expect 35-40thou usable ks under a zook, I would aim for about 25thou under a patrol

At 12psi under a zook I dont think they would budge much

And yes I beleive they have a rather tough and stiff sidewall. Exspecially compared to a BFG.
What silerstones are in question here? The pede copies? Cause my mate has them on his patrol comp truck and they tear and cut very easily. They are just a cheap pede knock of IMO and they run basically the exact saem tread pattern but the pede is a tougher tyre. You can run 10psi easily on a zook without beadlocks and possible even 6-7psi on heavy side walled tyres like pedes.
I don't know about milage as I only do a few thousand K's before getting new ones. The Silverstone's are amazingly bad on wet roads!
The tread pattern is similar between the 2 but the Silversone would have about 25% more void space so is worse on road, last less but that is why it is so much better in the clay!
In comps I run the Simex at between 8 and 20psi but normally they are at 12psi.

I ran the MT-117 Extremes in 31" on my zook and they rocked...No issues at all at 6psi on 8 inch rims, they are by far the best tyre for mud I have used. I now am on Swamper LTBS in 34" and they are not quite as good. i.e. they don't dig holes but I find they are more than aggressive in the mud and are way better on rock, road and gravel and are a lot quieter....
If you're after cheap agressive tyres go for them...they are worth the money. I wouldn't run them on a daily though. If your only weekend bashing think about how many km's u do on an average drive...i'd do about 100-200km in a weekend...even if I only got 20000km out of them thats a minimum of 100days of solid 4x4. I myself might go wheeling once a month if i'm lucky...that mean just over 8 years of use!

Going from a 31 10.5 to a 34 10.5 has significantly reduced your ground pressure so even a silverstone in the same size wouldn't "dig" the same.
Most tyres won't last 100 trips - 20,000km might be a useful average of general kms, but kept as off road tyres only they'll be chopped up and will have rubbish grip in clay type conditions as soon as the edges have gone - which could be in a few months.
A good example - BFG MT's loose their bite off road altogether at about 20,000km, even though they still have an easy 25,000 left in them.
Really, regardless of tread depth, lug condition will be the thing that dictates how well a tyre hooks up on hard wet clay.

I had a set of centipedes 32 9.5 16 on my disco for 2 years and they were fantastic. I now have a set of silverstones Xtreme 35 10 16 and I think they are better. They are quieter on the highway, turn better than the simex's (if anything with this type of lugg pattern can be considered to turn well ...) and they chip much less on rocks. The 35" silverstones cost as much as the Simex 32". You'd be happy with either brand coz they just grip so well in mud, clay and rocky clay.
For the price of 4 Simex's you'll buy 5 Silverstones. For all those that argue that the silverstones wear quicker (I disagree) then I'm sure you'll be more ahead if you rotate 5 tyres. It also means you'll have a spare.

yeah good points steve, i guess that realistically if i got 5 years out of a set of tyres i'd be happy, but purely looking at the maths thats what the theory goes like.

i found them great in the loose stuff... they do dig a holes, pretty darn good in the mud but not so good on wet rocks (12 psi).
i have had these on wet roads and they are a mess to drive on, very unresponsive, steering and breaking.

I only did one trip on my set (Silverstones) but was happy with their performance. Ended up selling them as I needed the $$'s to do some repairs.
Found them to be incredibly noisy and probably more aggressive than i would need.
