Body lift done and... how to written!

Post by Dave Fogwill »

Hey guys,

I did my body lift on Monday. Everything went well and I am now 60mm higher. I wrote up a how to on my web site. If the website has crashed due to too many views, try again in an hour and it should be back up.

If there is anything that I have left out or did wrong, PLEASE let me know so I can change it. From my home page go to the Feroza Page, then go to mods and then go to body lift how to.

Thanks,

Dave.

the website is temporarily unavailable because I have exceeded my data trasfer limit. I think this is because I have uplaoded all of the pictures today. I might have to start paying so it won't crash.

Kent, I have had a look at the rear bumper lifts that mike made for you and I am planning to do the same. The front on mine will have to be different to yours though. I think I will trace the old front brackets and make them longer or just cut and weld the current ones. I am hoping to do that sooner rather than later.

suspension lift

Post by philby »

i noticed that you used bigger shackles instead of the heavier duty spring option i realise this is a cheeper option but is it worth spending the extra bills to go with plan B, as i am in the market for a suspension lift and a new set of muddies

It is probably better to go for the springs. At the time I just wanted quick cheap lift, but now I want better suspension all round. The back suspension in mine is so soft and it is starting to sag.

Hey Dave,

Are you making the rear bumper brackets yourself? If you are can you make a spare set? :P :P

I don't mind paying for them.

My brother was going to make mine but we are not talking now and he told me to stick it...  :bad-words:

I still haven't sorted the bumper brackets out yet. But when I do I will let you know. If I am making mine, it shouldn't be too much trouble to make another set...

I have a good idea of how to do it, just haven't had the time or the access to tools needed and stuff.
