IFS Hilux Alignment
Anyone know what the stock IFS Hilux alignment settings are? Camber, caster, toe angles. I dont have access to a fsm and the Nissan dealership here seems to have the best alignment tools on the island but need to give them some baseline settings.
Can't seem to get rid of the positive camber after installing 1.5" bj spacers so thinking of machining 0.5" off then gettin the lux realigned properly cos my muddies are wearing really badly on the outside edges of the front tires.

Straight out of the workshop manual:
For 4wd Dual Cab:
Camber - +18min +/- 45min (Max variation 30min)
Castor - +1deg 3min +/- 45 min (Max variation 30min)
Toe - 2.1+/-2mm
For 4wd Dual Cab:
Camber - +18min +/- 45min (Max variation 30min)
Castor - +1deg 3min +/- 45 min (Max variation 30min)
Toe - 2.1+/-2mm

More than 1", and you beyond the alignment limit for the majority of the stock IFS settings (though I'm sure some will argue against this fact).

I agree with you on being beyond the alignment range with the 1.5" bj spacers v6hilux. I've had the lux professionally aligned 3 times in the last 18 months or so and it's never been too great. Had a look under there yesterday and the drivers side adjustment cams are at the maximum camber setting and I've still got positive camber. Passenger side can still be adjusted some more. Think I'm definitely gonna take out the spacers and machine 0.5" off them to get them down to 1" and maybe crank the torsion bars slightly to get back the 0.5" then get it aligned again.

Is it normal for the driver's side front suspension to be 0.5-0.75" lower than the passenger side? I was measuring the distance from the top of my rim to the flare tonight and I'm getting 15" on the drivers side but 15.5-15.75" on the passenger side. This was measured on a flat concrete deck. Tried it after a drive and got the same thing on some other surfaces.
My bj spacers were installed the same time as my ARB rear locker and I'd told the shop to adjust the torsion bars if necessary to get the truck level but never checked the measurments after this was done. There's 52,000Ks on the truck, could it be normal suspension sag (I'm 220lbs and typically the only one in the lux)?

32x11.5 R15 Maxxis Bighorns on an 8x15 rim that has 1" less offset than the stock rims.
I've finally had enough of the poor alignment caused by the 1.5" spacers and am machining them down to 1" which should hopefully allow me to get proper camber and caster settings or at least a lot closer to the right settings.

I'm not sure you even need the spacers, the downside outweighs the pro's in my opinion. I had them for a while back before the sas when my 4Runner ran 35x12.5 on max off set rims.
Now on my latest runner I managed to squeeze 33x12.5R16's on big wide 16x10's, with only a 2" body lift (no susp lift!) and a bit of inner guard massaging.

I put the spacers in to get some extra travel outta the front end rather than in an attempt to fit bigger tires. I've got the front flares, and inner fender well massaged to fit em plus I had to trim the side step moulding.
I've now got the bj spacers down to 1" and the alignment "looks" a bit better. Still gotta get around to getting it professionally checked out.
