any body had any experince with a roof top tent on a troopy ? iv been runing a qween size swag in my roof rack on long trips cape ex and has been ok one up looking at a tent for my next trip because im taking the missus and would b bit more room for 2. looking at a south african made tent ov 50 kg only bad point i can see is the extra weight up high- any opinions would b great cheers .

50kg would be less weight than some swags anyway.
I doubt you'd feel the weight, and wind drag should be no worse than the swag.
Just my opinion, never driven a troopie.
I use a roof tent but on a trailer.
It weighs 46KG including mattress.

I have a roof top tent for sale if interested.
Friends also have one they used on a troopy an had no issues. I also use mine on my 80 series with 35s, six inch suspension lift and no sway bays. It did increase the body role (like I expected) but not to bad.
