suzuki jimny
from my research, Ive found jimny and coilys to share the same cv, (due to circlip location on cv, in other countries coilys cam out with the air locking hub system too. but the turning circle on a jimny is greater first of all giving more stress on a cv i the jimny but is the material the same? cv's from a 410 sierra (1 litre) have the same cv as jimny except the circlip grove is at the outer end of the the spine on the 410's and the inner on jimny and coily hens the different freewheeling hub but a coily hub will foul on a ring which protudes from the wheel hub on a jimny which I guess is a part needed for the vacum hus to work.
the 410 cvs break just the same as the jimny ones with 30's is what Ive found

I gave suzuki spamwell's vin number and my vin number, they were happy to help compare, than I remembered buying a cv genuine comes with the axle, so jimny and coilys have different track widths with the jimny been 55mm wider in the front. so of cause there going to be different it still may or may not be the same cv though but we're not going to find out from a catalogue the guy said part Numbers for jimny and coilys are different types of part numbers as the coily is all numbers and the jimny is numbers and letters so its like both cars are catalogued differently, jimny was from the computer and coily from Microfish.spamwell wrote:has anyone compares coily cv's to jimny ones?? i don't think coily ones are any weaker than leafy ones but they are different so maybe they could suit jimny meh i dunno

the only difference in the track width, between a jimny and a coily is all in the rims. the CV's are the same size, and i think the circlip is in a different place. they will fit and run properly with or without the circlip
this doesn't make them easier to find. and from Suzuki they come with the axle as well $$$$$$$

Y A four inch is a big lift. Yes for bigger tyres which you will break shit. Cv's axle and clutchs. Did you read the posts. 30's 2" lift and a auto locker for the rear is a good setup and wont cost you the earth too. Try www.jimny.se It's a jimny based forum. There are a few with larger lifts speak too them and hear all about the problems. It not worth it.ROK88 wrote:does anyone no were or what brand has a 4'' spring lift kit for a jimny
and lsd's
P.s big balls off road use to do a 4 inch kit.

Back in again... looking at possibly going the Jimny route again
Nothing as modded as Stimpy (3+4 lift, Sierra box transplant and Rockhopper 3 with 32x11.5s)
Looking at 2" bodylift, 2" suspension and 30's, maybe a Trial Jimny kit... what's out there these days as far as brands go? Was 7 years ago when we did Stimpy and he was basically R&D for everyone else... I'm sure there's better (and easier!) ways for doing things now

DRS smells like a cat-food milkshake... and wet socks... and gorgonzola cheese... all whizzed up in a blender
