4 RUNNER DOORS

Post by bung »

I have a 1990 2.4 petrol sr5 runner. I would like to know if the front doors from a later model 4 runner will fit straight onto mine. I would like to source doors with electric mirrors and electric windows to fit. Would appreciate any help.

if thats all you want, why not try and source the mirrors, and put in a electric window system, would be alot cheaper.

The windows and mirrors are differnent. My model has quarter glass windows (Flipper windows) as well as the wind up window. The mirrors on the later models are larger and are positioned differnently. I have attempted to source electric mirrors for the current doors with none being available. In the long run, fitting later model doors would be the cheaper option I beleive

Bung

I have the same doors and electric windows and mirrors WERE fitted to these doors on very late 90's model just before Oct 90 when the V6 was released. I have also seen these complete rigs for sale etc so they were available.

I have fitted the factory electric mirrors to mine but not the windows as I'm not a fan of electric windows :D

I sourced one electric mirror from a wrecker in Qld and got the last new one in stock from Toyota :D. You will find both your doors are already drilled for fitting them.

Otherwise the later doors are a bolt on and you only need to connect the wiring etc.
