hi all been looking around for how to do sliding window changes
and read how to in the bible

but can any one Tell or point me in the direction of were to get
single piece cut tuffened glass to fit or if there any reasons why not to fit
fixed glass in the back that would be good

dont fit it in if you keep the rear seat (6th n 7th) as regulations i think state that they should open! apart from that no dramas, but solid windows >>>> all over sliders

thats not the case bout regs just look at the new prados for an example they have third row seats with no openin side windows i just kept one slider in for my dog to hang his head uot for bit of air

i just had fitted to my gq the windows out of a mq/k using a universal window rubber and had my mod plate done say its now a five seater which engineer agreed was the right thing to do just in case

any glass cut and toughened with a toughened symbol on it should do

from a window shop for arguments sake

The rubber and glass out of an MQ will fit straight in a lwb wagon as will the glass etc out of the pove pack dx's. Glass shops should be able to order the glass in as it isnt specialised, it was a standard fix to the 5 seaters and the old MQ's. Hope this helps!

can the rubber be purchased new or only 2nd hand from the wreckers

i got the glass out off a wreck at a mates place an got a mobile windscreen guy i know to fit it was $140 for both he supplied the rubber surround which he had in the truck the only reason i didnt use the rubber that was on the window i took out it was stuffed ;)
