Low fuel light and other NOOB questions

Post by Guzzi »

I picked up the GU on friday last week, 2000 DX 4.2 TD.
As usual the car yard gave just enough fuel to get out of the yard and it was a millifirkin above empty.
Drove the 50 odd km to home and filled up at the local servo, it took 128.5 litres , the main took 95 and the sub took 33, not even a glimmer of the low fuel light.
My questions are , Is there a replaceable bulb for this in the fuel guage?
When will the sub be able to pump into the main?
And what indications /lights etc does it give when it does this.
No I havent read the owners manual, it didnt come with one ( anyone got one they dont want?),so bear with me with these and the other silly questions I'll no doubt ask it the future.
Thanks in advance.

yes but may not be the problem.. maybe have a service done at local nissan dealer to tell you how good it is, and check for any recalls to make sure they been done.

it does. it will also pump a few milliltrs each time you start the car to lube the pump.

none.. you there is a switch.. on mine if you remove both fuel caps, and lookin the tube, you can see the fuel pumping once you turn the pump on.. its about 2inches down the tube.
