Try European Technique (Phone 03 9428 5547) at Swan St, Richmond. They are a BFG/Michelin Motorsport dealer. Or Cameron from Racer Imports (0417 050 065) down at Lara may be able to help you out. He sells quite a few BFG Projects and Bajas. Hope this helps.

Ring Bobby Dunsmore and ask him about there puncture resistance!

I have never driven on them, But at the OBC and the Cliffhanger there was definitely more punctures in crawlers than other typres of tyres.
Winch comps are a different game though.

bfg's are notorious for weak side walls

but i ran them on a light Zuk in 37" variety for a year or more and neva had a prob, i also got them second hand.

they balanced up real well with no weights

were a bit sketcher in the wet then my previous goodyear mtrs tho

I also abused a set for an entire season of W.E.Rock and a Superior All Terrain event which are both hard on side walls and never had a puncture.

Maybe Bob needs to learn how to stay on the track :finger:

I run a set of 39" on my heavy 4Runner with 5psi in the front and 4psi in the rear. No problems.

The difference of opinion would be due to 2500kg+ winch challange truck doin high speed V's light rock buggy at much less pace.

All the competitors I have spoken to running BF Krawlers in OBC and Cliffhanger have had the same opinion, "Good tyre while they hold air". All have had numerous puncture problems.

I was quoted $555 last week by ARB Southside in Brisbane. Salesman knew fark all about these tyres and about tyres in general, it seemed.

I think the Nitto Mud Grappler will be cheaper option.

Rocket sports truck sells them but don't list any tyres on their web site and they are located in Melbourne. I have been told its cheaper to get them directly from the U.S.A.

Sethgun;904269 wrote:my 33s i got through rocket sport trucks here in melb, but the 35s i got myself from the US. Cant remember where from, ill get back to you. It cost me less getting 35s on my own from the US than it did getting 33s from someone here, even considering the sxchange rate. Although now, it will be pretty bad. I love them. gets progressivley louder over 40-50km, but i like the sound. rocks they are like glue, mud they are like glue although i wont be able to really really put them through their paces until i have the time to put my new lift in, everytime i really flex i pop my fenders off (easy fixed if i extend the bumpstops but ill just do it all proper when i put the springs and shocks in too)

Winch comps are a different game though.

We had 2 sets of Crawlers, ran for 2 seasons not only had drama's @
OBC but @ every event we did.Now running Trepadors for a season. C/hanger & 4 winch comps with not 1 hole, patch or even a leak, so not driver error or Heavy Truck & prior to Bfg's ran M/T's Claws for 1 & 1/2 seasons with no holes. Personal oppion I think there a great tyer for Sterring & traction BUT have really Shit side walls For what We use them for.
