hand winchs and snatch blocks?

g'day all my question to every one is can a hand winch with it's stiffer cable be used with a snatch block?

does any one have a hand winch that says you can't?

has anyone done it?

of course you could personally i haven't but the cable isn't too stiff.the way the cable goes through the mechanism isn't exactly straight

have u ever tried to use a tirfur without a snatch block? :shock:
i did a couple times when i used to go wheeling with the paj and it was a I'm gayer than aids! of a job :x
and it was also funny watching a mate use it at cabbage tree on the way back up from the river in the middle of summer when he blew a diff..
the best part was after i was through a 6pack and almost at the top i handed him the snatch block :rofl:

i havnt had to use it on the GU yet, but if i did use itthe first thing that would come out would be the snatch block

Probably the bigger the wheel the better, it's easier on the cable... and when you're using it DON'T stand in the bite.... that's the angle formed in the cable by the snatch block, but you probably already knew that....

It seems a lot of people have blown diffs on that little track! I did, and a friend did...

i have only ever heard of toyotas blowing diffs there :D :armsup:
