gas tank setup

Post by chunderlicious »

about to setup my GQ on straight gas and was wondering how people are mounting there gas tanks for comps. i want atleast 100 litres useable preferably more. the reason for so much gas is because itll be turboed and driving to different parks for another year till get a trailer etc. and i dont want to be out of gas out the back of cruiser or top of cunninghams gap etc.
turbos are nice but i'd rather be blown

If you have a LWB or Ute, slap a 120L tank where the normal petrol tank goes (this gives you 100L usable) and if you have a LWB wagon you can slap another 100L (80 usable) inside the back cabin cargo area, will give you plenty of range then.

nah you'll be right, i had mine down there and i had no problems, my tow bar was the lowest opoint, if your worried, do a 1 or 2" body lift and move the tank up, simple and affective.
