GQ Turbo?? Good option or not

Post by keatings »

My Father in Law has an immaculate 88 GQ with 170K on the clock. Does a bit of towing and is thinking abouta second hand turbo kit. Is this a bad Idea?
New kits are not really an option for him due to price vs age of vehicle.

Does anyone know of this being done recently and/or have a used kit they want to get rid of in ok condition?
It is a 4.2 diesel by the way.
PM me and I will forward the info onto him.

Any help is much appreciated.

Top idea.. search for some good stories on turbo TD42s'

Ebay or WANTED section for turbo setups.> I think Turps had a GU Setup forsale a while back.

What state are you in?

170,000klms the thing is just run in.. $3000 is a bit of coin, but worth the effort to do it right.
