Transfer case play/slop ??

Post by Nice_Surf »

I have a BW transfer in my Rangie and was wondering if anyone can tell me how much play is there ment to be if any as I can rotate the drive shafts a little (there is no play in the gearbox or diffs) and the front flange on the transfer has some play in it as well as that can move up, down etc etc a little and the flange nut is tight.

Trav,
My BW has a bit of play on the front output shaft also.
It has always had it for the 8 years I have owned the car with no problems or oil leaks.
So don't worry be happy. Either that or mine will explode one day.
