im a rover guy so cut me some slack : )
what spline count are stock axles in: 60, 75, 80 and hilux
are they all 27?
what is the most common upgrade for these, 30?

Most common spline upgrade would be the 30 spline longfields.
Tetanus rolling on 37's
I know hilux are 30 spline diff end and front axles cv end are 27 spline then 30 spline in the free heeling hub. 80 series front are the same just unsure about inner axle to cv spline count.
