30 competitors all up. How many in challenge class and how many in trophy class? Still deciding wether or not to come up.
Cheers

looks like i'm out ... rear diff shit itself with the pinion flopping around badly and when i was crawling around underneath i found the chassis cracked almost right through, 70% on the left rail...
think the only thing holding it together is the side steps

reckon i must have done it when the front shocks died at the All Terrain and i was really slamming down on the logs.

poor old girl needs a bit of a rebuild me thinks.

its been all down hill since i started driving it to work ... damn bitumen :bad-words:

will be getting a ride down this time

I went up today. There were 20 in the top class(i can never work out which is which). Was a good day. There were a few good roll overs for the weekend. One Patrol rolled pretty hard twice. And Scottie allso had a decent roll that totaled his motor. Its got an extra breather hole in the block now :D

Just a word from an outsiders point of view. Went to the comp today at Janowen Hills and thought as for the viewing of the comp it was great ,good trucks and people enjoying themselves. Only one complaint was the (what seemed like) the disorganized way that the rolled over cars took to be taken out of the way 40 min is to long for a spectator to watch.
Cant wait for the next round ,might evan have the truck ready for it!!!!

This is always a problem with any event that is only running one course at a time. But with the resources that Tough Tracks have there is no other way this can be done. Recoveries are hard. They are hard on the recovery vehicles and they are hard on the vehicles being recovered. With only a few guys and 2 vehicles helping out with recoveries at this event i thought they did pretty well. Ive been to much bigger events that have up to 20 guys helping that would have taken longer.

It is unfortunate and its hard to keep the spectators there while recoveries are happening though.

Also want to thanks all those that helped out over the weekend. :) We had a ball with Casper in Trophy Class. We drove as hard as we could all weekend and I think we may have come about 8th overall. Best was equal 3rd on track 3. Had the shoot out and came 4th. Still :D all the way.

Although Jason my Navi has been there as a Navie for the last 2 years it was my first time in this event as a driver and I was made more than welcome by all that I meet.
So in all Father and Son (team Casper) had a blast.

Will cya all at round 2

Had a great w/end up there, weather was great.
Congrats to all the winners, and to Matt (Ginger) and Chris in thier first comp with a first place on track 3, well done boys.
And a great effort by Team Barney Ben and Kent in the Purple Hulix.
Unluck for Steve and Navi as they laid the SWB on the roof twice.
