what im wanting is a photo of a filler neck for the for the sub tank in the rear of the truck, i have a tray but no filler neck hole in tray to fill the tank, so im just wondering where it is located and how i go about cutting one in
have to look at some thing a little diffrent i think, need some thing to bolt in or very little welding, dont want to bend side pannel, and trying to get some to cut up a good tub will be hard , any ideas would be great
Not much to fabricating that mate. You could get one made from ally or steel that you can rivet the flange onto the panel from the outside, only requiring you to cut a hole in the panel to fit it without welding. Hard to explain, but imagine old mate cut that one out of his tub for you and you just trimmed up the panel to follow the shape of the recess, leaving about 12mm all the way around. You then cut a clearance hole in your tub and fit the bit you got from old mate so the panels sit on top of each iother and then seal it with goo and rivet it on. Would look pretty reasonable and no panel welding required.
