What size TURBO for a Tb4.2?

Post by diffin out »

I'm thinking of turbo'ing my 4.2 petrol just wondering what size turbo to use so it boosts up at the right RPM?

going through this at the moment....

Garrett turbos

GT3582
T4 .86 exhaust

tight ass turbos

VL upgrade turbos (70 front 84 rear)
T70

those turbos are all around the same size but only the GT35 is watercooled
turbos are nice but i'd rather be blown

xr6 turbo's are a bit laggy, use a gt35/40 same as xr6 but with a .8 exhaust instead of a 1.0 delivers nice gentle strong power all the way, it is the turbo i'll be putting on my tow car, hopefully before outback.
