Definetly will be a sell out, and this event is also capped. Based in the Rushworth district, it will be easy four wheeling, but very challenging navigation. Starting at 12pm Sat, and concluding midnight.

Thanks goes to Rhett and Karen from Auspit for supporting us once again.

I'm hoping to be there. Rudi any idea how much distance we'll cover compared to one day of a normal navrun? Trying to plan fuel.

we anticpate you will be doing about 1 to 1.5 days of Navrun driving.

Daylight will see you doing replication, night will see you doing set routes, well sort of anyway. There is always more to it, you know the drill.

You will be able to re-fuel, but I recommend bring a couple fo jerry cans, that will see you through.

Updated Details:

Where: Rushworth (btw Bendigo & Shepparton)

When: 12th April, 2008

Available Vacancies: yes, we have about 6 spots left only

How to register and more info: Go to this direct weblink http://www.navrun.com.au/afterdark.htm

More Info: Navrun after dark is an exciting new alternative to a Navrun weekend. The concept of navigating your own route to waypoints and following stick maps and directions still apply but the event starts at Noon and concludes 12 hours later at midnight.
There will be a big mix of navigational courses to do throughout the competition. There may be taking photographs during the day, stick maps of various kinds, route maps, questions, and an array of many other courses to test your navigational skills.
Thanks goes to Rhett from Auspit for sponsoring these new concept events. www.auspit.com.au
Also an introductory for 2008, ATOC AUTO REPAIRS in conjunction with TOPERFORMANCE PRODUCTS will be donating 'Koni Shockers' to the value of $750 to the best team who has completed both Navrun After Dark Events.
Teams are only single vehicles only.
You can as many occupants as you like, no extra charge. Your entry fee includes all notes and maps for the event.

The standard of driving will not be deemed extreme and winching is not intended. Navigation will be easy to medium to difficult.
There will be one base camp, therefore it will be safe to store and setup your camp permantly for the weekend, as officials will also be based there.

5 spots

Post by Hobzee »

Hey guys - there are 5 vacancies available for Navrun after dark. I preferred to call it Navrun Up Late or Navrun Un-Cut.... But had to keep it in the family spirit...

Anyway - 5 spots remain and now is the time to give it some thought and let us know if you are going to be there.

Single car teams and location is about 1.5 hrs due Nth of Melb.

Sat noon start and midnight finish. Drive home straight after or camp.

up here at Rushworth at the moment using Hobzee internet card.

Placed 2 knarly waypoints on top of 2 tracks that almost required diff lock to get up. yes, that;s right, we have found an area in Rushworth that is extreme!!!!!!!

we have 1 spot left if any one is interested.

ring us on 0427 908464 or log on to www.navrun.com.au and go to navrun after dark link

done

Post by Hobzee »

OK - all set up bar the printing.

You lot are in for one of the greatest Navruns we have done.

30 pics
25 numbers/words (cant take pics in the dark)
1 x stick map

No one will get them all - I promise.

Bearing in mind half will be in the dark - them tracks are bloody hard to find your way along even in day light. Trust the GPS... We did and it paid off.

There are tracks there that aren't mapped. And there are tracks mapped that aren't there - we use them all.

It's not too late to enter - Rudes will even take entries off people next week.

Some of them.... but I probably shouldnt say anything and get peoples hopes up...

Rudi said he was finishing them off tonight, so I suppose they will be up tomorrow.

We bombed out through a few mishaps along the way which cost us some valuable time... (dead camera and a staked tyre)
So I dont really mind the delay in knowing how bad we went ;)
