Strange Whining Rodeo

Post by Offroad »

Hi guys

My Auto RA rodeo has developed a annoying whine upwards of around 50kmh (and no its not the missus).. anyway the frequency rises with ground speeed and doesent seem to be related to engine rpm. It has a different note for on and off throttle, sort of like eeeeeeeeee for on the gas and awwwwwww for off :? I've changed the diff oil at the back and the front was ok, I also greased up the tail shaft and unijoints with no luck. The trans fluid still looks fairly clear.

Any ideas much appreciated.

haha I was waiting for that lol.. could it be a wheel bearing? I know at least one is shagged but that seems unlikely beacause of the different noise on and off the throttle.

Turbo diesel? Hole in intercooler?
