2 inch coil and body would be good but you would need to reinforce the upper strut mount and limit your shock length to prevent bending rear control arms.

done some reading up on your buildup sam and you had somne problems with off the shelf 2" sagging and didnt like the ride?

not to sure about these prices but ive called around and came up with these prices:

jimny upper coil mounts front, cut off chassis and posted to my door for $150

whole rear vitara housing from 92 coil model for $100 to my door

these prcies sound about right? they are from all 4x4 spares

im looking at ordering at least the upper mounts next week if i cant find anywhere cheaper and i will go and see my mate bobby (allset springs) and see what we can do for coils

thanks or all your help, cant wait to get it done now

PS: how much for one of your front bars? ;)

cheers

im not entirly sure what to do, either just buy a off the shelf 2" and put in a 2" body and keep the coilovers

or put in a bottom coilmount + external shock on the front

until i get my head around it, does anyone have any pictures of what sj80's look like with just the 2" off the shelf coilovers + 2" body lift?

spamwell, got any pics of your car before the changes?

cheers
John
Here is my SJ80 with the suzisport coil spring lift 2"
and a rocky road 2" body lift.

I had to do some trimming of the front bumper and bending of brackets a bit to avoid the tyres rubbing.

and with the suspension and body lift in use.

i would pay those prices but i got my vitara mounts free because it was a rusty old bent housing and payed 70 for jimny mounts because the chassi was bent on the wreck and i knew the dude.

but yeah they seem like perfectly reasonable prices to me.
