hey
im planning on taking my shorty out to 110" and cant deside on langthening the chassis and lower control arm and tail shaft etc or to move the coil caps back and the xmember for the panhard rod/shock mounts and extend the control arms etc. just after some pro's and cons on the two. cheers

yeah well i was thinking of goin the chassis extention but im just not sure how the geometry of the back axle because the lower arms are longer and the uppers haven't changed and also cheezy alway goes for the control arm extended and move the x member coil caps etc and theres gotta be a reson he goes that way and not the chassis extention
big green meany did it the best ive seen detailed photos of, lengthened the lowers only to the length of superiors long arm kit. looked good and i guess well find out soon how it goes, but superior swears by his long arms so it might be pretty good option
BUT, you keeping style side or not? that will be the biggest factor

turbos are nice but i'd rather be blown
I have recently mid wheel based my shorty by moving spring hats and crossmembers and lengthening the control arms. The engineer l am using would have approved either method providing it was done correctly and by a ticketed boiler maker. The reason behind my going longer control arms over the chassis extension was because of the better ride and articulation offered by longer arms. I have also put a triangulated 4 link in while l was at it and King smoothie shocks and hydraulic bump stops. Its all starting to look pretty horn.
Why not both. I would cost more and take more time but I think it would be a better rig for it. Definitely go the extra long control arms though.
The idea is to get all the weight between the axles.
