anyone know if 6x9 speakers fit in front doors of 96 dual cab?
the pissy 10 w ,4" dual cones cant take much more...lol

anyone got pix of their speaker setups?

Yeah they will fit, just need to adjust the inner door skin a bit from memory, it's been a few years since mine went in.

There should be/have been a few threads on this though.

It ain't easy, but I think it's possible.

Depends on what you wold say looks Nice, OK or Redneck!

If you don't plan on winding your windows down, it should be easy and look nice.

i have done it on a couple single cab hilux's

you just mount the 6x9 in the bottom front of the door.
and mount the speaker vertically
as long as u are happy cutting metal its easy

i have just jigsawed it out

and yes u can still put the windows up and down fine with standard windows winders.

i will get some pix later on 2 night when i get home.

Spose it could work!

I didn't want to cut metal in a 6 month old car at the time, so I went for good quality 6' Sony's. They seem to do the job, but not quite doof doof!

Will get some photo's later. I didn't think about it before, but ease depends on whether you have 1/4 glass windows or not. If you do, real easy with a spacer, if not, don't know.
