Pathfinder reversing light actuator in g'box

Post by Hobzee »

Silly little thing has halted the Pathy project. The actuator in the g'box does not engage the reverse switch. I bought new switch and if manually applied then lights work but not when new switch fitted to g'box. Before I go in blind and pull out the box has anyone got any ideas or knowledge on these and can point me in the right direction.

1987 Pathfinder with Z24 and 5 speed.

Silly thing is that the box and engine will come out soon anyway... Maybe I just see an engineer and do the conversion and then get RWC.

Set a switch up so that when you engage reverse the gear shift lever activates it. You should be able to find a 'large' micro switch from DSE or the like that will do the job for you. Just hide it under the consul or boot.

Other than that. I have a 5 speed (rooted) that you can have for the required part.
