Custom bar work and engineering.

Post by bruiser »

I have put up with an ugly arse on my 80 series for way too long.
Does anyone know someone in brisbane, sunshine or goldcoast who can do some custom bar work on the rear. Also an engineer that can approve the chassis mod.

The wagon has a two inch bodylift so i was looking at getting the rear chassis cut and raised to suit the two inch bodylift.
(basically instead of the chassis rails bending down past the wheel cut it and re-run it straight through. Like whats shown in the pic. Then cut the quarters and rap some bar work around it.

Want this to be engineered.
How do add pic. Used to be able to do this

ANY welding onto the chassis rail CANNOT be engineered and passed legal in QLD; that is what i was told when i asked the blue plater that plated my seats.

Just spoke with mick and he said that they don't realy do bar work anymore as they are too busy.

Also Dale at 2dextreme can't fit me in for a couple of months.

Where is brooksy located and what are his contact numbers.

Also, has anyone used superior allignments for bar work.

Brooksy is at Spring Mountain 0400 443 802. Not sure what his schedule is like with Bartsos at the moment but give him a call.

Not sure who might have used them but if the barwork on their blue big-block GU ute is anything to go by i'd say they're pretty handy with the tube...

1 Try bowlsey but i am unsure how he is with work load as he has sliders to do as well as powercruise and working at haultech (bowlseygq on here 0416288290) i am shore he wont mind me giving his number out

2 Wait for Dale as his work is second to none

3 superior engineering as craigs work is awsome aswell

4 presure superior engineering as there tube work was good aswell

5 Have you thought obout BUBS from this forum as his work these days is top notch aswell and he is allways keen to explore new designs from what ive seen.
