NEED HELP!! WANT 2" BODY LIFT 99SR5 IFS DUAL CAB NEED A

Post by hal123 »

I just bought a 99 sr5 IFS hilux dual cab. Its just stock atm and am going to buy a 2" body lift. I went to a 4wding place today and they said it will cost me 1100 including labour. I was just wondering if he was talkign shit about a few things. He said it imperitive that the fuel lines and fuel filler lengh is modified and a few other things. is that true? I am in brisbane can someone put me onto a better place? I have some mates that think they know what they are doing i just want to make sure before i buy the blocks and rip my ute apart haha

hey mate fuel lines shouldnt need to be modified but the fuel filler and breather necks might but you can buy this type of fuel hose at pirtek pretty sure its quite expensive though bout $60 meter for the big one not sore about the breather though. good luck mate do it yourself its piss easy took me and a mate bout 3hrs

yeah i agree it took me about 3hrs and ive never done it before..fuel lines all reach exept as hal123 said the breather and filler dont quiet reach... the only thing that slows me down was the radiator...... i completly forgot about lowering it.. you only need a a small length of steel to do the trick....
