Sticky switch?

Post by perryb »

Hi all, I have a 96 coily with a small problem. The 4WD light flickers on and off when in 2 WD and I was wondering if it is a sticky switch and if so is there an easy fix?

Sounds more like a wiring problem, maybe a broken wire earthing out? It's easy enough to pull the switch out to check it in case, and while you are there check all surrounding wires.

Thanks. I gather then that the switch is soewhere near the shift stick? I have the Haynes manual but can't seem to find the info that I need.

Yeah, it is on the back of the transfer case somewhere. There should only be one switch. I've never even bothered to look at mine so i couldn't tell you where sorry

Hey mate , switch should be just in front of the 4wd selector , it is shown here with selector missing and is at the right far edge of the photo , Cheers Paul.
