tyres for buggy

I have maxxis creepy's and now some iroks and need to get rid of one set. what's the better tyre of the two in your opinion?

keep the creepys, get on pirate, look at the comps section, how many guys are still running IROKs as comparred to those running creepys?

Are either of them Sticky comp spec tyres?

If not then keep the Irocs.

The maxis are a great tyre in the Sticky compound but i dont really rate them myself in the normal compound.

The Irocs are softer than the Maxxis in both compound and side wall. So they flex a lot better at higher PSI.

I would have to say from personal experience on both sets of tyres that the Creepies are a better tyre.

One thing though, with the Creepies, is that the square edges need to be worn for them to be at their best. Soften the sidewalls up by running them at around 10psi on road for a few short runs and they will be heaps better off road.

I think they are just normal tyres but i agree with Ruff seen both offroad and the iroks are better than the creepies IMO alot softer and have better flex on the rocks less spin needed for them to work. And this is after driving them onroad both tyres hot.

Only good Irock is the new sticky ones in the states that they are raving about. The only person ive seen do well on irocks is Pete but somehow i dont think it was his tires that made the diffrence for him ;)

I can't comment on the creepies but the iroks work very well and the more I use them the grippier they get. its weard that they get more grip worn than new!

No thats actually normal. Most guys in the US competing that have tyre deals will go out and burn off at least half the tread on a brand new set of tyres before using them in competition.

thanks for the feedback..
they are 37" creepy and the irocs are a lot bigger at 42".
It has the power and reduction to turn them and interestingly enough the 42's only weigh 5kg more than the 37's... creepy are pretty heavy.
