Well after the mammoth task of moving the workshop, the last thing to move to the new location was the Rangie :D

Been sitting on stands for about 8 months charged the batteries and away she went, suspose i better get started on her now.Not alot to do,new tyres & winch rope, driver door glass, new injectors & fuel pressure regulator & basically just go over her.

Whats the story does OBC now require window nets??

Well finally got the truck out of the horse stable and washed it off, ready to start working on it. Always heaps of small things to do and a couple off big ones, only 4 months to go and counting down fast. Always seems to go quicker once you start preparing, hows every one else going any updates.

Cutoms agent Sydney

Post by Britswed »

The English cars are coming into Sydney this year and iam looking after there arrival at this end.

Anyone got a good Customs agent in Sydney that has dealt with cars before.Must have car wash in the same place as do not want additional cost of moving them around.

Pretty sure its two IBEX's & one Rangie coming this year

Mal - thanks so much for helping us at the Sydney end - very very much appreciated!

We are bringing one Ibex, one 100" LR Defender and one Rangie and it will be a tight squeeze to get them in the container in about 3 weeks time.

Still lots to do on the trucks before then but if things go to the usual scenario everything will come together at the last minute!

I got this as part of an email......

Spectator Packages
The event is once again open to spectators – although in limited numbers this year.
This year the spectators are based at the Racecourse at Broken Hill and there will still be bush camps out at most of the competition sites too.
Check out the spectator information attached. Forms are word or PDF and can be printed then faxed or posted, or filled out in word and emailed to us. Fax 03 9723 2022 or email info@outback4x4challenge.

I've heard that this is not going to happen.. ....unfortunately!!!..... so perhaps a thread of images / discription of each OBC comp truck competing this year, would be a good idea, especially for the newbies....
Anyone know and can offer 3 easy steps of posting/uploading an image? and include that also for those that don't know how....me included  .

Celia / Mal - you have PMs!

We are just in the process of putting our truck back together after the re-spray - it is now shiny bright red (like the 90 in my avatar), rather than the matt military dark green it was on its last trip to Oz!

Will post a pic when all the bits have been bolted back on !
