Hi, i have in mind to change my tires to Simex JT2's (34"-11.5"). Any kind of info for these tires? Anybody that used them? What size rimms?
They look great but you never know...
Thanks
I was running them about to run them again, I have a NL pajero, they scrubbed for me on Landcruiser offset rims. Bitsamissing also ran them on his Paj before the SAS conversion.
If their going to be your only set of tires I would say they arent that good, they will be very fast wearing on road and make a mighty amount of noise. But off road they were very good, mine were a little large so I need to look into some transfer case gears.
hi, ive been using the 33x10.5r15 jt2's for a month or so now and think theyre great off road, traction is off the show with the lockers. as for use on road theyre not so great, noisey but i like the sound anyway and they seem to wear fairly fast, id say about 90% off road and 10% on road. suits me well.
I've used 3 sets of Centipedes (JT2) already. First was 32" followed by 2 sets of 35". Once I did a 1200km trip and by the time I came back, the JT2 was over 50% gone. They are splendid off road but a killer on the road. I got too tired of swapping between tires that I just got a set of Goodyear Studded Sure Grip 280/85/16 for everything. I do not see the point to pay premium for the 10% offroad I do with my vehicle.

The JT2's and Centipedes are two different models dude.
