Coil question

Post by KIWI »

Hi all,
going to put my old 3" coils in the GU shorty this weekend with a little luck, can anyone tell me which side the longer go on, as from memory there is 5mm or so difference between left and right sides.

Cheers

Gday mate
i work at a wreckers in melbourne and the longer springs are supposed to be on the drivers side
they may not be th right coil for your gu because of the weight difference but once its done could you please post some pics on here As we dont have shorties yet?? :)

get a socket that is like a pooftenth smaller... and smash it on with a hammer...

then undo it and throw away.... cos u probly wont get the nut back out...

OR get your grinder and shave down 2 flat serfaces oposite each other and get like a 12' or biger shifter and undo

Just a PITA with the jacks, started pushing the jack through the tarseal in the driveway, and there was no jacking points for a hi lift.

Love the GU shorty kiwi.

benhl, I remember seeing some pics of a 4x4 company in perth that built one up. Don't know if it was road registered/driveable or if it was just a trailer job or not, but It was seriously

Anyone know the website?
